All with unrivalled usability and customisation capability. Sage 200 Financials is straightforward to implement and easy to learn and utilises a powerful SQL relational database for scalability, robustness and each of integration with other applications.
Some of the most important features of Sage 200 Financials are revealed below.
Speed batch entry
Giving you the ability to enter large volumes of transactions and choose when to commit them to the ledgers. Additionally, colour-coded alerts let you know if there’s a potential problem without stopping your workflow.
Foreign currency capability
You can trade with customers and suppliers outside of the UK and in any mixture of currencies. For example, in Sage 200 Financials you can produce foreign currency invoices, statements, receipts and payments and you can maintain currency-specific product pricing and discounts. You can specify spot and/or period rates of exchange for each currency and all changes are recorded along with who made them. All transactions are recorded in base currency with the exchange rate used, so you can closely track the effects of currency fluctuations over time.
Nominal cost centre and departmental analysis
In Sage 200 Financials you can attribute costs, analyse budgets and produce management reports, e.g. Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss, by department and cost centre. You can also attribute individual transactions by your own analysis codes, for example, to track projects across departments and cost centre’s.
Group budgets
Making it easy for you to manage your subsidiary companies; Sage 200 Financials includes multi-company consolidated financial reporting and group budgeting capabilities.
Open or Closed Period Accounting
You can open, close and re-open periods as required, ledger by ledger; up to 20 periods can be set for each financial year. Access in Sage 200 Financials is tightly controlled by individual user permissions and there's a full history of who changed what and when.
Trading Periods
These can be set up to match the accounting periods if required, or have their own date range structure. These date ranges in Sage 200 can be set to suit your business; for example, you could measure sales performance on a weekly basis at busy times of the year and monthly at other times.
Comprehensive customer records
Store all the details on your customers for easy retrieval, with instant links to their sales orders.
Credit Management
A range of credit tools are supplied in Sage 200 Financials, including debtors' letters, statement production, provisions for doubtful and bad debts and the ability to place customer accounts on hold. Detailed credit information can be held against each customer/supplier record.

The benefits of Sage 200 Business Intelligence
Sage 200 Business Intelligence is best utilised looking into past trends; the more data which is used in BI the better it will operate and the more accurate the results will be. Business Intelligence tool is not best used to see how much your customers owe at present and balances but more how much a person has paid over time, and any trends or irregularities in their long term payment structure.
Furthermore data from Sage 200 Business Intelligence allows the user to bring through data seamlessly in to Excel; individual vertical cubes allow data comparison against a number of variables such as year to date (ytd), past few years, individual product lines and stores to name a few. Another added advantage Sage 200 BI in Excel brings is that users without Sage licences can utilise BI in Excel; the data can then be shared internally via methods such as email and share point.
Benefits offered by Sage 20 BI:
• Make faster, more informed and confident decisions
• Easy and fast deployment
• Easy to understand and use
• Reporting and analytics within the comfort of Microsoft® Excel
• Pre-defined reports out-of-the-box
• Dynamic Charts
Work spaces within Sage 200 are customisable spaces within the screen which can meet the user’s individual needs and requirements at a glance from data which is gathered from a number of sources. Furthermore on top of the ten out of the box workspaces available within the Sage 200 package Pythagoras has successfully developed two additional work spaces to enhance the productivity; the Outstanding Works Order workspace and the Stock profitability workspace.
Overall, Sage 200 workspaces deliver maximum value for the user at minimum effort.

Membership Software Analysis and Reporting
How does your membership or association handle member retention? Is it simply a stat that you calculate every year and reflect on at end of year meetings or is it something that you can report and track every day as a key performance indicator?
The key to running a successful Membership organisation, Association or Charity is based on your ability to retain existing members and also to gain new members. Without key information or analysis of these trends, organisations struggle to move forward. The ability to have a dynamic and flexible reporting system for your membership software is one of the most important ways to improve retention rates and acquisition rates for existing and new members respectively.
Microsoft CRM for Memberships has one of the most advanced reporting and analysis tools available for associations, memberships and charities to evaluate key performance indicators such as retention rates and acquisition rates on any given segmentation of your membership database.
The Membership software reporting and analysis tool within the system is the key to being able to identify and use indicators of value and efficiency to determine areas of improvement needed in your organisation. Having real time membership intelligence will save you time on collating reports and also give you instant feedback on a day by day basis. Microsoft CRM for Memberships will help put you and your membership management team in control at all times.
Microsoft CRM for Memberships analysis tools will help you to understand everything about your existing members, create profiles and segments based on geographic location, job titles etc. It provides you with a clear visualisation of your membership community in realtime.
Reporting and Analysis of Membership trends is extremely important for organisations who want to move forward. The reason why retention is so important becomes clear when you consider the analogy of water being poured into a leaky cup. There is no point in recruiting new members until you know why existing members leave and sort out the problem.
The Microsoft CRM for Memberships reporting section provides one location where membership management staff can review reports and key performance indicators for key performance indicators such as renewal rates, expiration rates, reporting on membership payments, subscription trends, event management reports and many more. All can be viewed as dynamic dashboards or standard reports.
